Jacob Lusk has been involved with the great game of golf for over twenty years. As a self-taught junior golfer he became a nationally-ranked junior golfer, and in 1990 he was Channel League Champion at Ventura High School. He accepted a golf scholarship to play for Cal State Northridge where he earned the position as the #1 golfer for the Matadors during the 1995-96 season.
Jacob graduated from CSUN in 1997 with a BS degree in Kinesiology. He is an expert in biomechanics and their relationship to the golf swing. He specializes in golfers with injuries and/or any physical limitations. Jacob has helped many people improve their game despite pre-existing physical disabilities.
After turning pro in 1998 Jacob played on numerous professional tours including the Hooters Tour, Golden State Tour, and the Pepsi Tour. During that time he began his career in instruction. Over the past decade he has taught thousands of students of all ability levels, from beginner to advanced. His teaching philosophy is based on the fundamentals. Once those have been achieved he works with each student's unique golf swing to produce the most efficient and consistent movement. Jacob also uses a state-of-the-art golf swing video analyzation system to help see your swing and make the necessary fixes to improve your game.
Some of his students include LPGA Tour players and fellow golf professsionals. He has taught in junior golf camps all over Ventura County, and has worked with adults and seniors during his tenure at Sterling Hills Golf Course and Barton Creek Resort in Austin, Texas.
In 2007 Jacob returned to Ventura County to teach the game to which he is completely devoted. Camarillo Springs is pleased to have him as a teaching professional on their staff. With Jacob's extensive knowledge gained through playing, education, and instruction he hopes to help you enjoy the game to its fullest and achieve your golfing goals!
